Trends in Wedding Wear for Men in 2014

Men's wedding wear doesn't seem to change much, usually comprising of a straightforward suit or sometimes tails. There is even Highland dress for those from north of the border. However there are minor changes from year to year and 2014 is no exception.

If you decide to hire your wedding outfit from one of the larger companies, you will probably find plenty of choice of the standard colours of wedding suit, and a selection of lounge suits, and morning dress with top hat to match if you can carry it off. What you probably won't find are suits in this season's fashion colours and styles.

The trend for this year is for slimmer cut suits, both morning suits and tails, with slimmer-cut waistcoats to match. There is also a move towards lighter-weight cloths for both morning and lounge suits.

However the major trend this year will be for coloured suits, with aubergine, purple and royal blue making an appearance, both as lounge suits or morning suits. You may not find these on the high street and will have to go for made to measure. Just make sure that you don't clash with the bride's or bridesmaids' outfits!

2014 is going to be all about pushing the boundaries of what is considered a ‘Wedding Suit’ whilst producing suits which are obviously designed with weddings in mind. Grooms will be expressing their individual personalities more, and putting their own stamp on their wedding day. This seems like a good trend to follow.
